Design that earns its quiet.

I’m Sam Cooper, a brand and interior designer based in Santa Monica, working with founders and hospitality teams to build identities, spaces, and the details that hold them together.

I work across the whole object — the wordmark, the window graphic, the paint on the wall, the box a product ships in. A brand and the room it lives in should tell the same story, so I design them as one thing rather than handing them off in pieces.

Recent work spans hospitality, healthcare, women’s health, and family — a boutique hotel in Laguna Beach, an orthodontics flagship in West Hollywood, child-care centers in Playa Vista. Different worlds, same question: how should this place make someone feel the second they walk in?

Outside of client work, I’m usually at the beach, deep in a new type foundry release, or arguing that whitespace is underrated.
